Overview

The SOC URL Reporter is a Chrome/Edge browser plugin designed to enhance your web security by allowing users to easily report and assess URLs. With just a click, users can submit any suspicious or unknown URLs directly to the Security Operations Center (SOC) for a thorough analysis. The plugin provides immediate feedback, indicating whether the URL is safe, suspicious, or malicious, helping users navigate the web more securely.

Key Features

  • One-Click Reporting: Easily report any URL by simply clicking the plugin icon in your browser toolbar. You can also copy and paste URLs without navigating to the suspected URL.

  • Instant Assessment: Receive real-time feedback on the submitted URL. The SOC will analyze the URL and return a classification: Safe, Suspicious, or Malicious.

  • User-Friendly Interface: The plugin is designed with simplicity in mind. A clean, intuitive interface ensures that even non-technical users can quickly and effectively report URLs.

  • Secure Communication: All URL submissions and communications between the plugin and the SOC are encrypted, ensuring that your data remains private and secure.

  • Regular Updates: The plugin automatically updates to incorporate the latest security protocols and threat intelligence.

How It Works

  • Reporting a URL: When you encounter a suspicious URL, click the CodeGreen Link Inspector icon in your Edge toolbar. A pop-up window will appear, displaying the current URL and a "Check" button.

  • Assessment Process: Once submitted, the URL is sent to the SOC for analysis. The SOC uses advanced threat detection algorithms and up-to-date threat intelligence to evaluate the URL.

  • Receiving Results: Within seconds, you will receive a notification with the assessment result. The URL will be classified as Safe, Suspicious, or Malicious.

  • If the URL is found to the malicious, the data  will be passed to the XDR platform for detection.

Benefits

  • Enhanced Security: Quickly identify and avoid potential threats, protecting your organizational data.
  • Ease of Use: The plugin’s straightforward design ensures that anyone can use it, regardless of their technical expertise.
  • Protection: feedback to the XDR platform helps you make the data available for all users.
  • Proactive Threat Management: By reporting suspicious URLs, helping other users to protect from potential threats.
